A rotameter is an instrument widely used to measure the rate of flow of fluid in any closed tube by using simple float. It is designed with a tapered transparent glass tube for reading the flow rate directly. With a float having more density that the flowing fluid, it ensures to provide accurate rating and performance. The diameter of the float is designed in such a way that it completely blocks the tapered transparent glass tube inlet. This needs no external power or any fuel to carry out the tasks in an efficient manner. It employs the natural property of the fluid and gravity to calculate the flow rate.
